SSDS Dance Company Mission Statement:

Stepping Stone Dance Company’s mission is to inspire self-confidence, discipline, respect and promote physical wellness through the art of dance education. In addition, a key goal for the Dance Company is to instill in its dancers an enthusiasm for & desire to have a positive influence within the community. SSDS provides a unified public place for all people to express themselves, their goals, and desires through the movement & love of dance.


Basic Requirements:

  • All company members rehearse on Friday evenings from 5:30 to 7:30pm.
  • All company members must take 5 or more hours a week of class. This includes Ballet, Jazz, Stretch/Leaps/Turns, Dance Company, and your choice of additional style(s).
  • All company members must turn in a report card each marking period. The final report card for the previous year must be received before Dance Company Registration.
  • All company members must acknowledge & maintain good grades in school as good grades are important & essential.
  • All company members must take at least 8 hours of any class/style during the summer months.
  • All company members must own/purchase a Dance Company Jacket.
  • All company members must attend classes weekly. Technique is an essential component of dance performance and training.
